Welcome! Please consider how your attitude affects your and other students experience of the lesson.
Be respectful, come prepared with relevant material and show interest in order to have the best possible educational experience.
During the course of this lesson, you will learn:
Listen to and use rhetorically and grammatically empowered spoken English.
Choose and incorporate sources in your mock debate or negotiation.
Interact with another student (or alone) and record a rhetorically empowered mock debate or mock negotiation, using correct grammar, fluency and a varied vocabulary.
Part 1. Warm-up listening exercise
Part 2. Creating your own mock-debate or negotiation
Exit ticket & homework.
Your task is to create, perform and record a ~4-7 minutes mock debate or negotiation video by yourself or together with another student.
This is an opportunity to show that you have learned about rhetorics, figures of speech, fluency and expanding your vocabulary and that you can apply those abilities to your own spoken English. The great thing about a recording is that you can make it as perfect as you want it!
Record the video using https://www.openshot.org/.
