Essay: Peer Pressure & Making Choices

Essay: Peer Pressure & Making Choices

You are writing an article for the teen magazine The Crossroads and their latest issue that focuses on navigating the challenges of adolescence. Your target audience is European students aged 15-20 – teenagers who have read Inventing Elliot and face similar pressures and choices you do.

Write a text about how we all face pressure to conform and follow expectations, sometimes from friends, family, or even social media. This pressure can be strong, and it can be difficult to know when to stand your ground and be true to yourself.

Your essay needs to use Elliot's experience from "Inventing Elliot" as a starting point, but feel free to include your own experiences or observations as well. You must also include what you believe Elliot did after the ending of the novel -- how do you think it ends?

Your essay should follow the standard essay format and should be at least 250 words but not more than 600. Remember to explain, give examples, discuss, and compare different aspects of peer pressure and its impact. Proofread your work carefully before submitting.
