Future forms - a summary
Future simple: express actions that will happen sometime in the future
will + base verb and sometimes to (I will go to the library tonight.)
Future continuous: describes actions in progress at a specific time in the future
will be + verb(-ing) (I will be studying at 10 p.m. tonight.)
Future perfect: describe actions that will be completed before a specific moment
will have + verb (+add -ed or -d) (She will have finished her homework by 8 p.m.)
Future perfect continuous: describes how long an action has happened up to a future point
will have been + verb(-ing) (By next month, I will have been working here for five years.)
Exercise 1: Future simple and future continuous
Instructions: Fill in the blanks using the correct form of the verb in parentheses. Decide whether to use the future simple (*will + base verb*) or the future continuous (will be + verb-ing).
