🎯Explain concepts from the Hero's Journey in a short stories
Write a paragraph that, in your own words, explains the Hero's Journey in Through the Tunnel with as much detail as possible. This exercise will not be graded, but you will receive feedback.
There is no lower nor upper word limit - I want you to be able to express yourself freely.
Choose 2-3 questions to write about:
Where are Jerry and his mother on holiday? Where in this story is the "unknown" world?
What challenge does Jerry set for himself? What happens to him and how does it change him?
The story is titled Through the Tunnel - what does the tunnel symbolise to him, the other boys and his mother?
What archetypes can you identify? (The Hero, Mentor, Ally, Shadow, Shapeshifter, Threshold Guardian, etcetera)
Other ideas or thoughts that you want to discuss
Remember: try to show all of your skills: your range of vocabulary and creating various sentences as well as giving rich explanations.
