Elliot goes to the swimming club and learns about The Guardians: The Guardians are an underground society that is obsessed with George Orwell's novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four. The Guardians are violent and control the majority of the students at Holminster High.
Chapter 6
Elliot witnesses punishment, observing and Elliot ashamed of himself for watching and for not being able to stop thinking If it’s someone else, at least it isn’t me.
Chapter 7
There is bullying during the rugby game and Elliot lies to the teacher, saying he hasn't seen anything

It is the first Guardian meeting and Elliot meets Richard, the leader of "The Guardians”, who he explains The Guardians' purpose: to control others with fear

Who is Elliot and what are challenges is he facing?
Why did Elliot want to avoid Ben at school?
And why did Ben answer "I wouldn’t expect anyone to risk being seen with me"?
